Benefits & Compensation
HR Policies
Competitive pay, weekly paychecks, and benefits that reflect the physical demands of outdoor work. Know what you earn, how you get paid, and what coverage is available.
Compensation Structure
Hourly wages are reviewed annually and adjusted for performance, tenure, and market conditions. Overtime pays 1.5x your regular rate for every hour beyond 40 in a workweek. Crew leaders and specialized technicians earn premium rates. Valid certifications — CDL, equipment operation, etc. — qualify you for certification pay differentials. End-of-season performance bonuses may be awarded based on crew productivity, client satisfaction, and safety record.
Health Insurance
Health insurance is not currently offered. The company does not provide medical, dental, or vision coverage at this time. If this changes in the future, employees will be notified through HR communications.
Payroll Overview
Pay runs on a weekly cycle: Monday through Sunday. Payday is the following Friday, with direct deposit funds typically available by 6:00 AM. Submit your timesheet by end of day Sunday (11:59 PM) — late submissions may push your pay to the next cycle. Access pay stubs and tax documents through the Gusto employee portal. For payroll questions, contact the owner directly. See the Payroll & Schedule section for the full pay period calendar.
Seasonal Employee Benefits
Seasonal crew members receive competitive hourly wages with weekly pay and overtime opportunities during peak season. The company provides uniforms and all required PPE. You have access to training and skill development programs. Returning seasonal employees in good standing get priority rehire. End-of-season bonuses are based on performance and attendance. If you face a winter layoff, your supervisor can help with unemployment documentation.
Additional Benefits
All eligible employees receive workers' compensation coverage for on-the-job injuries and illnesses. The company provides safety gear including safety glasses and hearing protection. Professional development opportunities include equipment training, safety certifications, and first aid/CPR. An employee assistance program (EAP) offers confidential counseling. Refer a qualified candidate who gets hired and completes probation, and you earn a referral bonus.
