Commercial Interior Maintenance
Interior Cleaning · interior-cleaning
Routine commercial cleaning keeps offices, lobbies, and shared spaces presentable and sanitary between occupants. Follow the client's scope-of-work document for frequency and task assignments. Night and weekend crews coordinate with building management for access, alarm codes, and secured areas.
Daily Tasks and Restroom Sanitation
Empty all trash cans and replace liners. Wipe down high-touch surfaces: door handles, elevator buttons, light switches, shared desks, and breakroom counters. Restrooms get full sanitation every visit — clean and disinfect toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors, and dispensers. Restock toilet paper, paper towels, and soap. Mop restroom floors with a disinfectant solution and allow a 5–10 minute dwell time for proper sanitation. Spot-clean any visible spills or marks in hallways and lobbies. Vacuum high-traffic carpet areas.
Weekly and Periodic Deep Tasks
Dust all horizontal surfaces including desks, shelves, window ledges, and cubicle partitions. Clean interior glass and conference room windows. Vacuum all carpet areas including under desks and along edges. Damp-mop hard floors in lobbies, hallways, and breakrooms. Wipe down elevator interiors including walls and handrails. Polish stainless steel surfaces (elevator doors, kick plates, handrails). Periodic tasks (monthly or quarterly): strip and refinish hard floors, extract and deep-clean carpet, clean light fixtures and ceiling tiles, wash interior walls in high-traffic areas.
Cleaning Product Selection
Match the product to the surface and the soil type. Use a neutral pH all-purpose cleaner for general surfaces. Use a disinfectant that meets EPA registration requirements for restrooms and high-touch points — check the label for required dwell time. Glass cleaner (ammonia-based or vinegar-based) for windows and mirrors. Stainless steel polish for elevator doors and fixtures. Carpet spot cleaner for fresh stains — blot, do not rub. Avoid mixing chemicals. Never combine bleach with ammonia-based products. Store chemicals in labeled containers, keep Safety Data Sheets accessible on site.
